Alumni of Sacred Heart Model School are invited to an all-class Alumni Celebration on Sunday, Jan. 24 beginning with Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel, bldg. 10 on the Ursuline Campus, 3105 Lexington Rd. The Alumnus of the Year award will be presented to Todd Allen for his outstanding professional achievements and community service at an awards ceremony and brunch following Mass.
Also being honored during the alumni celebration for their years of dedication to Sacred Heart Model School will be past faculty members Sr. Vera Del Grande, OSU and Jeanne Flowers and past parent Becky Cowan. The first Young Achiever Award will be presented to Thomas Davis ’02 for the significant contributions he has made to the community in his young life.
Allen is a 1984 graduate of Sacred Heart Model School and a 1988 graduate of St. Xavier. He completed his undergraduate studies at Centre University. Allen is the president and CEO of Iron Compass Ventures, a multi-faceted real estate development company in Louisville. Allen is the immediate past president of the Sacred Heart Schools Board of Trustees. He and his wife, April, have two boys, Clayton and Spencer, who attend Sacred Heart Model School and one, Maxwell, who attends Sacred Heart Preschool. Allen has made significant contributions to Sacred Heart Model School and the Sacred Heart Schools community through his selfless leadership and volunteerism.
“Todd is caring, confident, disciplined, organized and unselfish. He is a dedicated worker for the things he believes are important in life. Sacred Heart Model School and the Ursuline philosophy are two of those things,” said one nominator. Another said, “Todd has the utmost respect for and undeniable loyalty to the Model School. He cherishes his memories as a student, values the friendships he made, appreciates all of the teachers he had, and acknowledges that the Model School was a significant influence on the person he is today.”
