On January 14 and 17, 2010, Sacred Heart Schools celebrated an historic moment on the Ursuline Campus with the opening and blessing of the renovated and expanded Ursuline Arts Center. On January 14, the arts community and major donors were invited to a reception and to hear remarks by Allan Cowen, president and chief executive office for Fund for the Arts. Dr. Cynthia Crabtree, president of Sacred Heart Schools, also offered remarks, and Sister Martha Jacob OSU, vice president of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, opened the ceremony with a prayer. On Sunday, the community was invited to the public opening and blessing. Sr. Lynn Jarrell OSU, president of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, opened with prayer, followed by remarks by Dr. Cynthia Crabtree. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz blessed the theater.
