Sacred Heart Academy senior Jackie Hafele was recently named 2009-10 Kentucky Girls Soccer Player of the Year by The Gatorade Company.

The Gatorade High School Player of the Year program honors top high school student-athletes for the athletic excellence, academic achievement and exceptional character. The selection process is administered by ESPN RISE, a national sports and lifestyle magazine for teens. Honorees were selected by top sport-specific experts and a media advisory board of accomplished, veteran prep sports journalists. The Gatorade Player of the Year award has become the most prestigious award in high school sports.
